Does the Rural Land Transfer Promote the Non-Grain Production of Cultivated Land in China?

In facing the situation of food security, issue non-grain production cultivated land (NGPOCL) in China has attracted more and attention. To clarify whether rural transfer promotes NGPOCL China, this study collected provincial panel data from 2015 to 2020, constructed multiple econometric models explore impact on planting structure land. It is observed that an increase area does not promote but significantly inhibits at national level. The research conclusion still valid after robustness test replacing explained core explanatory variables solving endogenous problems. heterogeneity analysis suggests inhibitory effect pronounced areas with better topography, economy, or grain conditions. moderating shows diversification modes directions can mitigate effect, while signing contracts show a significant regulatory effect. This paper reveals cultivation macro perspective. Its conclusions may provide policy implications for optimization curbing China.
